The Surreal Eden
During my postgraduate studies at West Dean College and the Edward James Foundation UK, I visited Xilitla, San Luis Potosi, Mexico. For 6 weeks in 2007, I lived and worked in the extraordinary Surreal Gardens of Edward James called Las Pozas. Having studied and experienced a surreal atmosphere at his mansion at West Dean, I was able to complete the story of this remarkable man. I am changed forever. I was honoured to receive the coveted Chairman’s Prize at the year-end graduate celebration later that year.
