Over time it became important for me to edit and extend my painting in a non-figurative way. My feelings are expressed expressively and truthfully. During the time of Covid, my practice has become less self-conscious, bolder, prompting me to push myself into unknown territory. Sensory impressions open to interpretations. The electrifying and spontaneous sensations I channel when moving out of my comfort zone are stimulating. These might refer to the tremor of an unforgivable betrayal, the ecstasy of a wild dance, a scream of pain, overwhelming joy, or a silent gaze over still waters…

It is important to connect to something otherworldly and profoundly good or bad.
