ICE 2021

Shifting Ice is a metaphor for how humans can respond to a frozen state. Recently I have noticed animal tracks and skaters by the river near where I live. Such an eerie thing; beautiful, full of sounds and life. I found myself absorbed by its magic until the reality of thin ice broke the spell and I found myself waist deep in the frozen water! These works are a result of a winter experiences in 2021. I suggest that a metaphysical approach beyond the physical world and my immediate senses often results in colorful atmospheric work that relates to the spirituality of the healing earth.
